Naturally, the first thing you need to do is remove the tree, since it is completely unnecessary for the arch.
Accordingly, we get rid of the trim and door frame. Then you need to level the resulting opening with cement mortar and let it harden. That's it, you can start finishing. The portal arch is the simplest to make, which is a significant advantage; however, it looks quite simple and cheap. If we want something more presentable, then we can’t do without vaults.

The board from which the blocks are cut must be prepared. If an unedged board is used, then cut the wane with a circular saw, then run it on a planer to level it, and only then cut it into bars 3 cm thick.

An arc is cut out in the drywall, which is 1 cm smaller than the arc of the arch. Prepare 2 such parts and connect them with wooden planks on self-tapping screws. This creates a template for the upper part of the arch. Its width should be equal to the depth of the opening.

Wooden blanks are cut into small bars of such width that they fit into the template, fill it and form a smooth arched surface. The blocks are coated with glue and placed in a template, with drywall supporting them on the sides. It is necessary to lay two such rows to increase the thickness.
